I wish I could review this pressure cooker, but it arrived with a big dent in the side. Not due to shipping, by the way - either it came that way from the factory, or somebody else returned it and they turned around and shipped it out... I'll let you know when I get a replacement...

Amazon was very prompt in sending a replacement. Tried the new one last night - worked like a charm! I'm changing my rating to 4 stars. Only nit pick is that the steam release lever is too short - be a little careful when releasing pressure).

I bought this unit and absolutely love it. We live in a house with an ancient gas cooktop. It has two temperatures: high and high. I try to use small appliances as much as I can, both because of the cooktop and to reduce energy usage.
I received my cooker within 3 days. Unfortunately, someone had bashed it in and I had to return it. Amazon was incredibly great about this and made it as painless as possible. They even shipped the replacement before they received the return.
I have used all the features of this cooker - slow cooking, pressure cooking, browning, and steaming. I am so pleased to say I will probably rarely have to use the gas cooktop again. I'll use it only for things that need a wide area to fry or saute. My only problem: I'm 4'10" and when on the counter top, this is too deep for me to look into. Of course, that's a problem for me with almost everything!
This pressure cooker exceeds my needs in every way and if very easy to use.

I never used a pressure cooker until I bought the Nesco. I love to experiment in the kitchen and knew I did not want a stove top pressure cooker. I found the instructions very easy to follow and the results are spectacular! The appliance is easy to clean (despite no diswasher use). I am using the Nesco weekly for something or another: pork roasts, whole chicken, cheap cuts of beef. Customer Review: Instruction 100% in French?! Nesco has no instructions on line!

I was looking forward to trying to heal myself from liver disease. The box they shipped me has one instruction book 100% in French.
Nesco said they have no online instructions due to so many products. I live in Chicago Illinois!

I will never buy anything from Amazon again!

this is a wonderful cooker. i'm a hairdresser and work 10 to 12 hours a day and it is the best cooker i've bought for myself in a long time. meat is ready in min. and very tender.steamer is great and the crock cooker is just a plus. you won't be sorry. not afraid to use pressure cooking any more.
