Customer Review: Pretty Good Overall Performance

This slicer I've owned for a few years. It has sliced meats, cheese although slower than I'd like due to denseness and stickiness of cheese, and bread. The nylon or plastic gear on the blade and on the slicer gave out on me when I tried forcing a dense and hard loaf of sourdough/spelt bread through it. I'd sliced many of them before with no problem but this one had not risen well and had a hard crust on it and I should not have continued to force it when I heard it balking. Overall pretty good slicer. I regret that the parts do not seem available for me to do a repair. If they are I wish someone would tell me!
